"I met Izzy four years ago while out riding my horse on the trail. She said "hey another horse, you want to ride together?" It has been an honor and privilege to become friends and adventure buddies with Izzy. I am in the 55+ category. Izzy has helped me expand my confidence and I always feel safe when we ride together. Our adventures include beach rides (yes even canter), Going into the river (up to our stirrups) at Mission State Park, poker rides and annual sessions at the mountain trail course at the horse center.
Most recently Izzy helped me find my six-year-old quarter horse, Benjamin. He's exactly what I wanted, a companion for my horse and still young enough to train. He is very sensitive, somewhat insecure and very forward (and ADHD). Izzy helped me start my groundwork with him including double lunging (she taught him in a couple of short sessions). She rides him regularly including on the trails. He is not balanced especially at the canter which she is working on. I am beginning to gain the confidence to ride him myself in the arena. The convenience of having her come to my place multiple times a week or meeting me at other places when I bring the horses is extremely valuable. While Izzy trains Benjamin I am able to dedicate the same amount of time, that I always have with my nine-year-old paint, Theodore.
Izzy's training methods are kind, fair, and firm. She really has an intuitive sense as to what the horse and rider needs. She is an absolutely amazing rider. I have seen her manage her, sometimes very hot thoroughbred, Ginger, through some very intense situations with perfect grace and professionalism. I absolutely love riding with Izzy."
